Mixed Veg Khichdi ( Homemade Baby Food ) / Weight Gaining Baby Food

Mixed veg khichdi is the most nutritious baby food which can be easily made by any vegetables available in your fridge. I have used carrots, beans, and potatoes in it. You can use any veggies of your choice. Besides being nutritious and delicious it also helps babies to put on some extra weight. I have fed this to my baby to gain some extra kilos. Hope this works for you too. Just feed it thrice a week as lunch.

  1. In a cooking sauce pan add washed rice and moong dal and to this add salt, ginger garlic paste, vegetables, water and ghee. Stir well and close the lid. Cook on low flame for about 10-12 minutes.
  2. Then switch off the flame and allow it to cool. Then grind it in a blender or mash it with a spoon to the consistency you like.
